Head for Ardèche Méridionale and discover the 1845 Moulin de Salelles. It's 4km from Chambonas, 5km from Les Vans and 36km from Vallon Pont d'Arc. The mill borders the Chassezac river, and has its own private beach where canoes await you for a pleasant stroll. A quiet, unoverlooked spot where there's always water, even in midsummer. This area is very popular with tourists.
For Chambonas (old village), there's the beautiful château dating from the 13th, 17th and 18th centuries: interior with Italian decor, grand staircase, Italian salon and grand salon, small salon in a tower, furniture, French gardens25 attributed to Le Nôtre ( or, more likely, one of his pupils). Not far from Les Vans in Ardèche, you can admire the Hermitage of Saint Eugène, which dominates the village of Chassagnes
