Where is the Indre?  It is the department a little way south west of the famous “chateau-belt” of the Loire Valley.  Chaillac is situated in the Brenne National Park, a region well known for its wildlife and nature trails.  It is perfect for hiking, exploration on mountain bikes and horse riding.  The villages are quiet and perfect for unwinding in!  There is a weekly market in Chaillac on a Saturday morning.

Entry to the property is via electric gates.  The kitchen/sitting room (30m²) has a character fireplace, smart tiled floor and a “bar” area for breakfast.  It flows into the dining room (21m²), which is separated from it by open beams.  In summer, the conservatory, which leads from the kitchen is perfect for summer dining.  There is a ground floor WC.

On the first floor are two bedrooms (13m² and 10m²), a shower room with WC and a smaller room (7m²) which could be used as a study or further bedroom.

Across the courtyard is a fine barn, equipped in rustic style with a summer kitchen, two further bedrooms, a composting WC and wash basin.  

There are international airports at both Poitiers and Limoges with direct flights to the UK.  Poitiers is about 90 minutes away, Limoges a little closer.  Regular travellers can also take advantage of the Brittany Ferries Club Voyage which offers savings on their routes.  St Malo and Caen crossings work well for the Indre region of France.  There is easy access to the A20.
