We are a group of international owners with each our private room / apartment (no time-share) and 1500 m² lounges, dining rooms, bar, wine cellars, large kitchen, billiards, bicycles, terraces, laundry room, staff and 1 hectare park in common. We enjoy a relaxed and homely atmosphere and you can be as private or as social as you like while at your vacation home (no permanent residence). It is located about two and a half hours by car from Paris or Basel. Monthly joint expense all incl. except individual electricity consumption is 280 Eur. The owners association is financially healthy.
Location
It is located in Grand Est, Haute-Marne, close to Champagne region Cote de Bar to the North East and Bourgogne to the South. The castle is the center of a small charming village in the middle of a vast National Parc with forests and open land, rivers and lakes. The village has two nice restaurants, two grocery stores, a bakery, a pharmacy, a library, and a p hole golf course 50 m from the castle.
Access
It is located about two and a half hours by car from Paris or Basel. Nearest train station is Chaumont (25 km away)
Interior
A newly renovated tower room with a view of the castle park. The tower room is at the second floor (elevator), and consists of a bedroom with vaulted ceiling, separate bathroom and wc and an entry with room for storage, seating etc. High standard.
Exterior
The castle was last modified in 1846-48 for the Prince of Joinville as a hunting 'lodge'. The castle is partly classified/protected and has historic interiors and exteriors.
