If you are a female aged between 50 and 74 years of age you are entitled to receive breast screening free of charge every two years.
The service is known as le dépistage organisé du cancer du sein
Normally, once you have registered with the health system, and you are within the eligible age range, you will receive a letter inviting you to undertake a mammography at your nearest screening centre. The address of your nearest centre will be given on the letter.
