Guide to Letting Property in France
21. Housing Benefits/Allowances in France
There are four main benefits available to tenants:
- i. Housing Benefit
- ii. Moving Grant
- iii. Home Improvement Loan
If your tenant gets into arrears of rent you need to ensure they are aware of their potential entitlement to housing benefit, in particular, before you commence legal proceedings for possession of the property.
We shall be writing about these benefits in forthcoming pages, although you can read about Rental Guarantees in our pages on Protection Against Non-Payment of Rent.
Next: Legal Proceedings
