Brest is one hour's drive and the airport 3/4 hr. It has a marina next to the old port and sits on the end of a penisular that is a natural park, ideal for walkers and bikers. There are many hamlets with picturesque stone houses. The coastal path has breath taking views over the Atlantic and the port of Brest. In summer there are many ferries to Brest, Ouessant and Molène
