French House Prices Continue to Slow
House prices in France rose last year by 7.1%, according to the annual review of the market carried out by the French estate agents professional body, FNAIM. Foreign buyers invested approximately €6 billion in French property during 2005, according to a recent report by ‘Credit Foncier’, the French mortgage specialist. This figure is up from €5.4 billion invested in 2004, and an average of €2 billion invested during the period 1994-2000.
