Archived Newsletter Issue 222 : Thursday 14 May 2020
With income tax returns due for submission in France, we have prepared some general advice to assist you in the process.
Although less than 50% of households pay income tax in France, anyone who is resident is required to make a tax declaration. You are also required to do so if you are non-resident but you have income from France, eg rental income.
In addition, those who may be liable are required to submit a wealth tax declaration, which we also cover in this Newsletter.
The notes are written primarily to assist resident and non-resident UK nationals, but others should also find them useful.
