Friday 10 January 2020
We are pleased to announce the release of our latest guide to the French post office, La Poste.
This year the price of stamps increased by an average of 10%, following a similar rise last year.
The cost of a 20g second-class stamp has risen from 88 cents to 97 cents, whilst a first-class stamp has increased 11 cents to €1.16.
The increase in letter prices has been agreed by the regulator to compensate for a continuning fall in the volume of letters being distributed, which is in historic decline, down a further 7.3% last year.
Standard international letters now start at €1.40, up from €1.30.
The prices for parcel delivery have also increased on average by 4.7%.
