French Lycée School Grants for 2010/11
Tuesday 02 March 2010
The French Education Minister has opened applications for Lycée grants for the next academic year, for which many expat families are likely to be eligible.
Applications for these school grants are considered right through until next June.
A range of grants are available, all subject to a test of resources.
The basic ‘Return to School Grant’ (L'allocation de rentrée scolaire) sets a maximum net income of €22,321 if you have one child, rising to €32,623 for three children (2009/10 rates).
There are other grants also payable, depending on the circumstances of the family and the studies to be undertaken by your child.
Although no single grant is particularly generous, they are cumulative, provided you meet the relevant criteria.
